Chemical Name: Ethylenediamine-N,N'-bis(2-hydroxyphenylacetic acid) iron(III) sodium salt

CAS Number: 135-59-1

Molecular Formula: C₁₈H₁₆FeN₂NaO₈

Molecular Weight: 495.25 g/mol

Property:

EDDHA Fe / EDDHA Chelated Iron / EDDHA Iron / Fe EDDHA Iron Chelate is a highly effective chelated iron fertilizer.

EDDHA Chelated Iron is widely used in agriculture and horticulture. It belongs to the class of ethylenediamine derivatives and contains iron (Fe) in a stable chelated form, which ensures optimal absorption and utilization by plants.

Function

  1. EDDHA - Fe remains stable in soils with high pH levels (up to pH 9), making the soil particularly suitable for plants. Unlike non - chelated iron compounds, it resists conversion into insoluble iron oxides/hydroxides.
  2. The chelated structure of EDDHA chelated iron allows efficient uptake by plant roots and translocation within the plant, effectively correcting iron deficiency symptoms such as yellowing of leaves (interveinal chlorosis).
  3. EDDHA Fe dissolves readily in water, enabling application through various methods, including soil drenching, foliar sprays, and irrigation systems
